Sightseeing Boat Trips
Tourist cruises on the "Słonecznik" and "MS Bydgoszcz" ships are among the most popular and beloved summer attractions in Bydgoszcz. The opportunity to admire the city from a completely different perspective – from the river – attracts more tourists and locals every year.
The MS Bydgoszcz ship will begin its season in April.

The "Słonecznik" ship will begin the cruising season on May 1st, 2026.
Cruise Routes and Tickets:
The "Słoneczna" (Sunny) and "Staromiejska" (Old Town) routes are operated by the electric-powered "Słonecznik" boat, which can accommodate up to 28 passengers. Boarding for both routes is located at Rybi Rynek (Fish Market).
The "Szlakiem Śluz" (Lock Route) and cruises to Brdaujście (as well as other routes on occasion) are operated by the MS Bydgoszcz, which carries up to 12 passengers.
Tickets are available for purchase online (at the bottom of this page) or in person at the Bydgoszcz Information Centre.

The Lock Route (Szlakiem Śluz) – destination: Gwiazda Marina

Description:
The Lock Route cruise towards Gwiazda Marina begins at Rybi Rynek and travels up the Brda River. The journey passes through the Municipal Lock (Śluza Miejska) before entering the historic Bydgoszcz Canal. Along the way, passengers will experience the fascinating process of navigating through two additional locks: Okole and Czyżkówko. The cruise concludes at the modern Gwiazda Marina.

Description:
The Lock Route cruise towards the Old Town begins at Gwiazda Marina and travels down the Bydgoszcz Canal. The journey passes through the Czyżkówko and Okole locks before entering the Brda River, where passengers will experience the passage through the Municipal Lock (Śluza Miejska). The cruise concludes at Rybi Rynek, in the heart of the city.
The Old Town Route (Linia Staromiejska)

Duration: approx. 60–70 minutes (depending on the lock operation)

Description:
The cruise begins and ends at Rybi Rynek. Along the route, the boat passes the Bydgoszcz Cathedral, the Opera Nova, and Mill Island. You will then see the historic Trapezoidal Lock before experiencing the locking process through the beautifully renovated Municipal Lock. In the latter part of the cruise, the boat passes the majestic building of the Former Railway Directorate in Bydgoszcz.
The Sunny Route (Linia Słoneczna)

Description:
The cruise begins and ends at Rybi Rynek. Initially, the route heads downstream, passing under the modern University Bridge (Trasa Uniwersytecka) and alongside a variety of sports facilities. Upon reaching the Słoneczny Młyn Hotel, the boat turns back and sails towards the picturesque Mill Island. In both cases, the journey starts and concludes at Rybi Rynek.
PLEASE NOTE:It is possible to board at the Słoneczny Młyn Hotel with a pre-purchased ticket. If seats are available, tickets can also be purchased from the crew at the Słoneczny Młyn Hotel stop. The boat reaches the hotel approximately 20–25 minutes after departing from Rybi Rynek.
